In 2007 Ken Barnes made a submission to the ‘Home Affairs Select Committee on Young Black People and The Criminal Justice System 'Evidence Ev 203 - 10.3’, He put forward the following recommendation "To encourage greater long term investment in education. We recommend a specially designed Role Model Intervention Programme involving a range of successful Black adults."
