Catherine Tyson- iFactor For Women Co-Author

Born in Grand Cayman, Catherine Tyson is a proud mother of 3 fabulous children who are the inspiration behind her first book entitled “I’m Somebody’s Mama.”  She is a trained counsellor with a Master’s degree in Social Work, whose life work has been with vulnerable individuals around the globe.  She conducts various workshops and training regularly in the area of self-development, professional development and human services.

In December, she hosts an annual women’s seminar entitled, “Me in My Life” in the Cayman Islands that focuses on women finding time and taking care of themselves amongst the chaos of life.  This annual event, coinciding with the Cayman jazz fest, succeeds to envelop the mind, the body and the spirit.

Catherine is also the founder of ‘Generation Next’, which is comprised of underprivileged children whom she seeks to provide with a range of experiences that they have never been experienced, while getting to appreciate the world outside of Grand Cayman, including annual summer trips abroad to various destinations.  She offers the children free services that include after-school care, holiday camps all funded by private funding and sponsorships due to the limited resources available to these families.  Catherine also co-hosts a talk show on one of Cayman’s radio stations.  She can be found on www.radiocayman.gov.ky - Talk Today on Fridays 12:30-2:30PM.
